Q: How do I compare sheet metal gauges?

A: When looking at the thickness or gauge of sheet metal, the thickness increases
as the number (or gauge) decreases.  For example 11 gauge is
thicker than 20
gauge.  Below is a chart you can use to compare gauges, inches and millimeters.
